About Alžbeta

Alžbeta Greenwood-Byrne, born in Slovakia, graduated with a Masters degree from the Royal College of Music, where she studied with Kyle Horch. She was a Foundation Scholar, supported by the Dr Michael West Award. Alžbeta made her debut as a soloist with the State Philharmonic Orchestra in Košice. She won First Prize in the National Competition of Slovak Conservatories and was awarded the Launchpad Prize and Deloitte Talent Award as well as receiving a grant from Talents of New Europe. As a member of several saxophone quartets and bands, Alžbeta played at Kings Place, BAFTA Club, Lansdowne Club, Royal Festival Hall, V&A Museum, and at the 18th World Saxophone Congress in Croatia.
